What do you think of Barney Frank's confrontation with a woman who compared Obama to Hitler and his health care plan to a Nazi plan?
He was less than a statesman - he should have answered her diplomatically IF he had an answer. His reaction shows that he had NONE, so he used a put down bully response. Sad !!

He was spot on but usually I would not approve of that kind of behavior by a public official.
However, considering how bloody nuts (not to mention possibly dangerous ie loaded gun and various threats of violence to Obama and other Dems at these Town Halls) those people who think like her actually are, I loved it and have to admit it made my day yesterday after seeing it on the news.
BarneyFrank has 2 degrees from Harvard. He happens to be an expert in this field of Health Funding. To compare Hitler's Programs with those of Obama is either misinterpreted history or no knowledge of history, period. Take your pick.
The past election was about Bipartisan action, for the USA to blend for change not bipartisan simulated rhetoric for political simulation of change. After this recess, The 21St Century Advanced Citizen must see our Congressional Leaders as a group of leaders with communication skills showing their willingness to give and take for the sake and longevity our nation! Barney Frank's answer was of a reactionary ( Did he fail to understand that this unfortunate young lady believed the Congressional Leader, thus, causing us to waste valuable tax dollars an ask such a question?) and responsive to the bashing our party Demagogues are in engaged in as they shirk in there multi-thousand dollar obligation we elected and pay dearly for, for as they posture for their special interest groups and Party rather than our country. Health Care has been an unresolved issue for many decades and concerns of more than fifty percent of the average American----Republican and Democrats the time for a bipartisan health care reform is now!
This is not a left or right wing issue – this must be a bipartisan United State of American absolute action of compromise and change where a Bipartisan caucuses from the House of Representative and the Senate send representatives from Congress to the White House to meet and be active solution-driven voices of a Specially appointed internal Bipartisan Presidential Review Caucus to review the Democratic Plan and Republican Plan and devise a Bill in the best interest of the American citizen to carry us into the 21St Century. Our Leaders must rise above the rhetoric and stop taking the intelligence of the American citizens for granted. Where is the Barney Frank and his counterpart's Bipartisan resolution teams, and what are they doing once they have finished thumb their nose at the innocent people that were fed rubbish by our Congressional Leaders through the Interest Groups our Congress have been hiding behind? We voted for change - we trust that this Administration will take a bold Constitutional action of change in a way that presently adjust our government leaders behavior of accountability in the time of national crisis es. This is a National,Cultural, Moral, Social and Civil responsibility decision that the world and the citizens of tis country are watch closely. i do not believe in the comparison to hitler that the woman was showing, but i also do not think that barney was all that politically correct in the way he responed to her.i still have many questions on the health care issue. tom
Yesterday's gone and Today is going fast, Tomorrow is all we have, Until it to has passed
I have to agree 100% with wwww?'s comments and ArmyBrat75's answer. As well Excellences stated some very good points, especially the one about "taking the Intelligence of the American citizens for granted." Yes I'm sure that most of our representatives thought they were going to being discussing these issues with rational, reasonably intelligent individuals only to find the contrary to be true. I don't blame Barney Frank one iota for the way he responded. Regardless of his position or title, he merely reacted to the insanity with which he was presented. Just as any other rational person might. Just because you are a congressman or a senator, doesn't mean you are above HUMAN reaction to such ludicrous behavior!
I say, THREE CHEERS FOR BARNEY!!!!!
