Ball mouse more precise than optical?

Is it true that ball mouse is more precise than optical one, and better for graphic design?

I really don't think so, I think that optical is better even for graphics. what are the con in scroll-wheel vs optical? maybe just the power issue.  but if you really want the best mouse for everything buy a laser mouse.

I am big. It's the pictures that got small!

IMHO this is the matter of personal preferences. You work with what you feel is better suit you. Some people prefer track-ball devices: essentially an overgrown  mouse turned upside-down. You move the large ball, and its movements are tracked by the mechano-optical sensors. I personally never liked them.
