Yu just have to rule out a medical problem and if none is found then no cause to worry as there may be some variation among the babies. The medical problems can be classified as below.
1. Local problems with the tongue.
2. Problems with the brain but if other milestones of the child are normal and she/he is like any other 2 yr old child then even that is ruled out.
It would be appropriate to hava the kid checked for above.
