BMW X3 Cabin air filter

I want to replace the cabin micro air filter in my 2007 BMW X3. Where does it live? I've been doing this for years in my 93 325is and am hoping it will be less of a chore.

Open the hood and look just under the scuttle vent above the fire wall. You'll find a cover plate about 20" long and 3" wide with 1/4 turn fasteners at the center and both sides. Release the fasteners and the cover is hinged nearest the firewall. Lift up and pull out the filter.

I have a 93 325is too, and I like this one a lot better!!!
