Avoiding neck injury

 I have a senior playing varsity football who keeps injuring his neck because he lowers his head too much is there a device or restraint to restrict how low he can put his head?..like a strap that goes from his helmet to his shoulder pads

Yes there is a device that straps from the helmet to the back of the shoulder pads. You will have to google it and do some research. The average sports stores do not carry those types of restraints. Perhaps they can direct you to a supplier.

There are products at most sport supply stores that help prevent neck injuries. I would suggest you take the student to the store with you and ask one of the working professionals. You can find examples of some of the available products here .

Thanks for the help we got a stap set-up that attaches the helmet to the pads thanks for the imput.

 

We have the restraint made and working thank you.
