Auto case settled but malpractice happened nine months ago cast I still file malpractice

I am about to settle my auto case however nine months ago I had surgery that is definitly a malpractice case. my lawyer says I have 2 yrs to file a malpractice case. But does the driver that hit me have top have full tort? and is what my lawyer said about fileing up to 2 yrs later valid. carole051@comcast.net

My case is 5 yrs old 4 and 3/4 yrs into the case the dr put screws into my esopogus and cereated many problems. I found out that you have 2 yrs from the date of the malpractice to sue but finding someone to do it is impossible since everything except the my nerves that control speaking and swallowing can be fixed. I caNt tell you what this surgery has done to me/ Find me a lawyer that will take the case that would be a coo thanks for your help hope I can help someone with this problem.
