When I was a service mgr. at a dealership we told people that it was an estimate only and we were allowed 10% difference in the final price in case something unforseen came up,but we always called the customer to let them know.You should have been told about any extra money and if it is a written estimate,go to the top and COMPLAIN to get your price difference back and notify BBB.Sorry it happened to you.
