Negative hCG blood test, but still having pregnancy symptoms

is it possible to still be pregnant and have a hCG qualitative blood test come back negative? i ask because i haven't had my period in over a month, i've had the symptoms and i feel pregnant. the last time i had a period was on the 12th of June, and my husband was home on leave from iraq for 18 days starting the 21st of June, if that helps any. someone please help me with this because i really don't know whatelse to do.
