It couldn't be worse.
A:
  1. Right click on your desktop and click "properties."
  2. Select the"Settings" tab.
  3. Click the "Advanced" button.
  4. Select the "Adapter" tab and it should say the exact model of your graphics card.


You don't need a serial number to find your model number and and you probably won't find a serial number unless you tear open your machine.

These instructions are for Windows XP but it should be similar for any other Windows OS.
