How can a human being run 26.2 miles in just barely over 2 hours? It would take me 4 and I have long legs so my strides are bigger. Man lol
Love is the battery of life....
Hi John, It requires endless training, body fitness, mental fitness and above all being able to run in almost a constant speed (all the way). You won't believe it but in South Africa there used to be (may be still is) a race called "Comrade Marathon" which is a Double marathon...... some 53.2 miles.... very popular too (with unbelievale number of participants). Funny, but the best long distance runners are not tall !.... so it's not the strides that matters..... Best regards,
yes, I see someone under 2 hrs within the next few years. This is why: 1908-2:55, 1935-2:27, 1958-2:15, 1967-2:09, 1998-2:06 and 2008- 2:03.59. Just think, I would have had the world record in 1908!
