Asbestos siding?

Has asbestos ever been used in any kind of siding for houses? If so what kind and how long ago?

Yes.  I don't know what kind for sure.  I think some of it looked like fake brick.  As late as the 70s I think, but I'm not sure.

Asbestos has been used in just about anything you can think of from flooring to siding include brakes for your car. I would think that about the last time it could have been used in building home products maybe about the 70’s.

As for the house siding what type of siding does it look like? Aluminum, or some type of wood shingle?
