Yes, it probably will set off alarms. Get a note from your doctor about your knee replacement.

I believe it will.  My husband received a plastic card from his doctor when he had his hip replaced just for such purposes.

Open the pod bay doors HAL

I've got one and I guarentee it does. I have one of those doctor signed cards but it's a waste of wallet space in an airport. Because these cards can be counterfitted they don't even look but they will run you thru the metal detector until they are satisfied that's what's setting off the alarm.

My advice, make sure you allow an extra 10 minutes when travelling by air.

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

I have an insulin pump with a wire coming out of it. I also carry a letter from my doctor. Sometimes I set off alarms and sometimes they don't go off. I always allow for extra time because I never know if I will get pulled over or not for additional screening.

Cool Equal justice for All

The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.

Yes it most probley will but get a doctors statement to keep your self safe but allow extra time in your travels.

Ducks Bump Wildcats in Game of the Year...

It was certainly further evidence that the Pac-10 is back as a national conference. After two overtimes and a touchdown with six seconds left in regulation, the Oregon Ducks outlasted Arizona 44-41 to take control of the Pac-10. For a while, the stars seemed to align for Arizona. California upset Stanford during the the third quarter of the Wildcats' game, bumping one Pac-10 peer from Rose Bowl contention. Meanwhile, Arizona shrugged off a 14-0 deficit to take a 24-14 lead early in the fourth quarter. Though plenty of empty seats were available, more than the usual few gluttons for punishment showed up at the Izod Center Saturday afternoon, hoping to see ... what?
