Arakadi Gaidamak donations

What do guys think about the donations of the billionaire Arcadi Gaidamak. For those of you who don't know who Gaidamak is. This guy is a Russian jewish billionaire. It is unknown to public how exactly he got so rich, but many claim it was in unlegit ways like arm deals. Anyway, Every crisis Israel experience this guy offers to contribute a large amount of money for help. Should the country use or rely on his money?

Your own personal jesus

A country should never relay on contribution , mainly because every contribution usually has a price ( in tex reduction etc. ) If you ask about gaidamek in person there is no reason to refuse his money ( dirty or not ) but if he is so generous he souled give it directly to the government to handle. If you want to see a real generous almost "clean" donation look at this

site.

Good for Arakadi Gaidamak! He provided women and children some peace and quiet for a few days. The Israeli government should be ashamed for their own lack of action.

Managing information is a great advantage.

There are a few issues here.

Arkadi Gaidamak (AG) is considered legit unless proven otherwise. Hence is money is OK.

I do not know weather his intentions are good, politic driven or else. However if you want to rule out actions that do good on ground of politic intention, then you will find difficult to approve any. Therefore I think that as long as his actions are good for the people, we have no right to stop him. If, for example, Stef Vertheimer would contribute 5M$ for the welfare of jerusalem citizens in order to become the next mayor, would this be bad?

That's true, But what about his latest statements on the Prime minister and the minister of defence. I must say, This guy isn't the "normal" philanthropist.
