I know it is illegal to copy material from websites without their permission. My question though is, if I were to create an application that extracts data, such as articles from websites, would it be illegal to sell?
My application will not be targetting any website, it will be upon the user to input the website he/she wants. So if I were to attach an agreement statement stating that the user will use it for websites he/she has permission to, would that set me free from any legal responsibilities?
Professional opinions would be greatly appreciated.
