The account is locked when anyone enters incorrect info repeatedly. This is for the owner's protection, and can only be reset at Apple.com.

Forgotten passwords are common, but as you might guess, Apple is VERY cautious about resetting passwords, lest they grant access to unauthorized persons!

Follow the link below... there you will find the questions necessary to identify yourself as the rightful owner... just fill out the form, it's quite simple & obvious... then Apple will assist you.

Customer Service - iTunes Store Support

Under "Category" choose "Account or Billing" ... under "Sub-Category" it looks like the 1st choice is the one you want.

Good luck!

The error message "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. " means that someone has failed to sign into this account multiple times.

When this happens Apple's system will disable the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your account information.

Follow the instructions on the iForgot web site to retrieve your password. Your sign-in information will be sent to the email address you chose for your Apple ID.

Alternatively you can answer the password recovery question you set when you created your account.

Both answers are correct... the "IForgot" link bypasses the first 2 or 3 steps in mine.
