Whenever I sign on to my AOL account, I get a pop up on the right of my screen for AOL SEARCH. I have to click on the X to get rid of it. This just started a few days ago. Does anyone know how to get rid of it. I have gone into settings & said no pop ups from aol, etc... but its still there...Help, this is no biggie, but driving me insane..lol...thanks
Go to keyword and type search window...click yes to opt out and that should do it.
Thanks a million for the answer to my question....most helpful...you are great...
I Phoned AOL about the Pop-up they force on log on
The customer service representative told me that I couldn’t disable it. He then advised me to close the window using the X.
When I told him I wanted to disable it completely not close it he told me I couldn’t.
I was furious in my opinion AOL have gone down hill since the TALK TALK takeover.
Why not do what I do Every time you get the pop-up click the insert in e-mail tab and send it on to feedback@aolbroadband.co.uk they will soon get the tired opening them if everyone sends their pop-ups back. (Don’t forget to put something in the subject bar)
AOL is telling a big fat lie. I figured out how to do it...Go to keyword & type SEARCH WINDOW....click yes to opt out....that is all you have to do.....Hope this helps.
