You're welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help, but from your description, if it is in good shape, the violin may be worth at least hundreds, and possibly many thousands of dollars (US). If it is a real Stradivarius, of course it is worth tons of money, but most likely it is a forgery. But, an eighteenth century forgery is still a very collectible item, and valuable in its own right. Violins improve with age, and the wood has a lot to do with it, too. The violins in Stradivarius' time were made of wood that no longer was available soon after that era. Any violin in that time period is special, whether it was a copy in honor or a forgery.
