A person with a criminal past -- drug user. Reason for drugs "mellows me so I can deal with people." No mental health counseling has been done. Will not go to a methodone clinic or to a doctor for suboxene -- "cost the same as street drugs. Just changing pushers"
When asked how he avoids drugs in prison the answer is "I don't have to deal with people there. I stay in my cell and read." Question is: is there any drug besides methodone or heroine that will make a person "mellow" and can be prescribed by a doctor besides suboxene or methodone? Amy other psychotropic drugs that would have the calming and euphoric effects of the 2 drugs mentioned? Melleril is not appropriate.
