the flood actually came due to rains on the mountains to the south. This would swell the different tributaries and other rivers that joined and became the Nile River. This happened on a yearly basis between the months of June and September.
Dear Yedda: As I have learned the jigh flood level of the Nile in Egypt reaches its peak in mid Novermber; not between June and September which are the months during which you said the seasonal rains responsible for this flooding occur. Also, I would like to know how far to the south the mounts where the rains occur are located. Thank for your cooperation: Richard Coen
Dear Yedda: As I understand it the annual high flood level of the Nile in Eg- ypt occurs about mid November; not between the months of June and September which according to what you told me are the months of the seasonal rains that produce the flooding. I would also like to know if the mountains South of the Kagera river where, according to your reply, these seasonal rains occur, actualy exist so that I may know if they are substantialy south of the equitorial region where no seasons occur. Thank you for your cooperation: Richard Coen
