Animation movies and celebrities

Why all the animation movie industry insist to pay so much money to celebrities just to make the voices of the animated figure? is it really worth it? does children\adults pick those movies by the celebrities?

RE: Animation movies and celebrities

I guess there are two reasons

1.         It does attract more audience, we just like some stars voice and intonations

2.         It is a battle of studios, once some studio used a celebrity voice, the others do not want to be left behind.

RE: Animation movies and celebrities

Unfortunately, celebrities become extremely self-centered and spoiled and won't do any work for free or for less than what they received for their last movie. This is what creates the problem. If instead of paying these celebrities to do voice-overs, that money went to helping fight hunger, this world would be a better place for all.

RE: Animation movies and celebrities

I think it's the popularity.  Once the fan knew that their favorite celebrity dub a certain animation film they will be intrigued and excited at the same time- then that is the time fans will watch the certain movies.

A very large number of people who have never attended a Sci-Fi convention have the idea that they are all about people standing in line to get autographs of actors while wearing Klingon makeup and costumes or pointed ears. I’m not saying that those stereotypes don’t exist but the Convention experience is much richer and diverse than you may have been led to believe. To get the best experience it is important first consider your interests and then match them to what conventions are available. C
