Try the local Animal Shelter in your county or city, sometimes they provide a service for the elderly, disabled or low income people. Then try try your local Humane Society and or the SPCA,

Good Luck.

Where is Lorain County?  I live outside of Buffalo, NY and we have something called SNAP (spay, neuter, assistance program).  It is a van that travels around the area and sets itself up at different sites for a day or so.  They provide low cost spay/neutering (and perhaps some other services).  You may need proof of income.  Your local SPCA should know about this or something similar or a local cat rescue group that you might find info on in your local paper or at the petstore.  Also any local vet might know.  Good luck and let us know what happens.

Never give up on someone you can't go a day without thinking about.

What state is Lorain county in? I think the SPCA in any state charges below-average rates to spay/neuter and vaccinate most animals. Let me know what county though and I will do some research to find out where you can take the cat.

Thanks for being a caring animal lover! We need more people like you in the world!

Lorain county is in Ohio. I live in Elyria, to be exact. Most places I've gotten a hold of tell me they only deal with dogs or cant help me.  Now I am waiting to hear from a few animal rescue shelters. Thank you so much for offering to help. You are a great person !!! It just sucks, because my hrs got cut at work, or my husband and I would be able to take him anywhere.

After doing some research, I was able to find a group called Animal Friendship Protective League that is in Elyria, Ohio. They are located at 8303 Murray Ridge Road; telephone number: 440-322-4321. I would suggest calling them and finding out what their rates are. Another great link I found was was through the 1-800-Save-a-pet website that offers helpful links to other organizations that offer low-cost spaying/neutering. You can see that here (scroll down and you'll see a boxful of different organizations that offer low-cost or free spaying/neutering). You can also see a list of facilities by state here. Let me know how it works out.
