Angelina Jolie wrote an op-ed article urging the US to help Iraqi refugees who have been displaced by the war. Do you think that celebrity opinions and requests like this are actually heard by the government?
To some extent, but not always. When people like Bono do it for 20 years the politicians start listening to them at some stage, but when celebs voice their opinions before they have some credibility, I don't think the politicians take them seriously.
