In the pursuit of learning and researching ...

In the pursuit of learning and researching information for my up coming E Book I have had the pleasure of cyber meeting Mr Paul Temple. Paul is a Psychic and Student of various phenomena, New Age, Reiki, and many other approaches to Natural Remedies and our own Spiritual Involvement therein.

He has a wonderful website www.josssticksandgems.co.uk to explore different avenues of healing oneself.

Has anyone else ever tried these "Old/New" therapies for pain or illness? If so - how well did it work?

The Norm

Hi Norm,
For the record, Mr Temple is much like Dr Blaylock.
This type of person it a professional marketeer.
IOW, they are selling "snake-oil" remedies to anyone who will risk just one purchase. (Google "Dr Blaylock")

They rely on one small fact:  One person in one-million will feel some improvement when taking their "product".

If purchased in the US, to be legally sold, the lable will read:
"This product has not been evaluated by the FDA"

And: "This product is not intended to cure or treat any disease or condition."

Believe-and-buy at your own risk.

To Deano: A point well made with some exceptions. For example the continued success of television shows like "TAPS", "PRS", etc... approach Paranormal activities with an open mind but mindful to execute scientific principles. They do not state that in every show their was a "Haunting" or other paranormal occurence.

Mr Temple is of the same fabric as the aforementioned shows and does not push his products as the ultimate "Cure All". Quite the opposite - he asks (as Mr Gascon at www.PoTO.com does) for you to consult with your doctor before trying the product. Both gentlemen care enough to have the highest quality products available at reasonable prices.

My wife suffers from "RA" and the use of a magnetic bracelet worn by her on a regular basis has helped alleviate some of the pain she experiences. This means she does not have to consume as much narcotic pain killers and/or inflammatory medications. When you truly love someone who at no fault of their own - suffers pain consistently - you are willing to research alternative approaches. Much like Accu-Puncture - Reiki is an older and established method to assist healing or alleviate pain. Magnetics are used in our modern hospitals - "MRIs" - for example. "Natural" approaches to help the sick, wounded, or lame have been in use for millenias. So if a magnetic bracelet helps lower my wifes' pain I'm all for it. At the same time I believe there is much more to medicine for us to learn that an open mind and a cautious heart is a good mix. Therefore - when I find something that really does work and may help someone else with the same malady I am ready to share that information to the best of my ability. Especially if it helps others find relief from chronic pain -- don't you agree?

As a young man I watched the painful suffering my Mother experienced from Lung Cancer Treatments. The Cobalt Radiation used in the '70s took a healthy woman from a weight of 130lbs at 5' 7" down to 67lbs in less than 9 months is a horrid thing to happen to anyone - moreso my Mom. I held her hand in mine and told her how much I love her before she drew her last breath. I would have given anything during those 9 months to give my Mom a cure. If not a cure - at least something to alleviate the nausea and pain. Even if it was "Snake Oil" - if it would have worked I would have bought all the man had.

These experiences over a period of 40 plus years has taught me some hard and well learned lessons. I've lost Family and Friends over the years and you never get used to it. What I have found out is there may be alternatives that can help people. If so - then share the experience with others. For example: I have personally used Damiana Tea to help (mind you - just help) me with my COPD w/Chronic Bronchitas. I have been able to discontinue my Ariva completely with my Doctors' post assessment. I no longer have to use Albuterol Inhalers 4Xs a day. I am using some OTC medications for my allergy maintenance. In concert with that now I am using "Horny Goat Weed". (When you're done laughing here) which is an old Chinese tea remedy and all I'm going to say here is that my Wife Positively Glows now!!! :>?)  I'm in my plus 50s and feel 30ish. Not shabby for a $ 15.00 remedy per month -- how much is Viagra or Cialis going for these days? Besides some other benefits the darn stuff tastes great too. Only one cup a day.

So Deano - before you're willing to write someone off in an non-investigative comparison - please be mindful that out there in "Yedda Land" some young person has a sick Mom or Dad and what we have to say may sway them the wrong way. It is a responsibility that comes with public opinion expressionism. If you do not have a need for Alternative Ideas - that's great - but before casting doubt upon a professional who's main philosophy is to help others - take a step back and think about it awhile - please.

As always - I am "The Norm"

"Most people see things as they are, and ask, 'why'? But I think of things that never were, and ask, 'why not'?" -- George Bernard Shaw.

I have not (yet!) tried these therapies....but thank you for the website!

A few days ago, I heard a GREAT guy on a PBS show.  His name is DR. DANIEL G. AMEN.  His book is called: "Cure Your Brain, Cure Yourself", (or "Heal Your Brain, Heal Yourself".....or something like that.  I KNOW I have his name right, however!)  This guy was one of the most intelligent, down-to-earth, non-condescending people I've EVER heard on PBS.  To get his books, tapes, etc, either go to the library, contribute to PBS, buy on Amazon, or buy on his website!  He is a "pathfinder".....showing the way to the future, and an MD (psychaitrist!), at that!  I truly believe that everyone should look into Dr. Amen's writings/tapes -- and that he will, eventually, be one of the GIANTS of the early 21st century!

P.S.:  After viewing the website you mention, several things come into my mind.  First -- I read in a book called "The Happy Medium", which purports to help the reader become a medium -- that the first thing you have to do is to BELIEVE these ideas will work.  The same with the stuff on the website you mention.  It's like....Catholics BELIEVE a certain Saint will help them, and the Saint does!  Of course, believing can always use an assist from "doing"....but the answer is clear.  Believe....and it may have a (good!) chance of happening!   Conversely -- many people have said that, had ANNE FRANK actually known that her father was still alive, she may have had the strength to survive...at least a little while longer, (and the Allies liberated the camp she was in, Bergen-Belson, only a few months after her death.)  At least she would have had a better chance. But she thought he was dead....and KNEW her mother and sister died.  So, she lost all hope, and even trying to cling to life had no meaning......

These things....or some of them....might work if you genuinely believe in their power.  I mean, that's how Voodoo is supposed to work, isn't it?

For myself, I've found a GREAT way to get rid of panic attacks!  I learnt this listening to a tape by DR. KEN DICHTWALD.  Just breathe in, DEEPLY, and HOLD your breath for a while.  Then BREATH OUT......S L O W L Y.   Then wait a few seconds, and breathe in DEEPLY again, and hold your breath again for a few seconds, and breath out S.L O W L Y.........  Keep doing this for as long as you need to.  The panic attack will disappear!

I don't "write-off" anyone or any product. Mr Temple's products work for my sister. They did not work for me.

The same goes for Blaylock. They work for some but not for others.
As I said, the risk, if any, is yours. Not your doctor's or Mr. Temple's.

If it works, go for it.
None of "them" have worked for me. I (hope) to turn 73 in December and my worst problem is arthritis and the only thing that helps is illegal/MJ.

Use whatever works!

To Deano: Yes - "Buyer Beware" is a good rule of thumb. I know that for some folks - smoking Mugwort - helps alleviate arthritic pain and stiffness. Has a good aroma - some use it for incense and others in a tea. It is one part of the recipe for making Absynthe too. Check it out - you might be pleasantly surprised how well this legal herbal works.

To Just Me: Thanks I will check him out. You are right about belief or faith being an integral part of any remedy. The belief that the "Indigo Children" are psychics who will help save our world from destruction or the "Twins" who are protected better than Fort Knox all lend credence that we have inert capabilities. Accu Puncture works with the electrical system in our bodies just as Accu Pressure stimulates oxygen and other natural bodily chemicals to begin repairing damaged tissue. This leads to our having "Auras". These auras can be looked at thru an infra-red camera.

There are so many alternatives out there and it never hurts to ask others to share their personal knowledge and experiences.

Thank you very much for sharing yours!!!  :>?)
