This question has more than a faint odor of biggotry to it. There's no shortage in Jewish or non-Jewish drug addicts. Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley are some very dead non-Jewish drug addicts (whose "very dead" status is very much linked to their "drug-addicts" status). And that's just in the popular music field. I'm sure every intelligent Yedda user will be able to think of examples from other fields, such as sports (Diego Aramando Maradona), Cinema (John Belushi) and so on.

Music is forever.

I'm actually Jewish and no there is no bigotry involved in this question. I was only curious about her background and it's unfortunate that Yedda users were so quick to judge me for asking. My curiousity stems from wanting to know if being raised in my religious background has any effect on being a celebrity and getting pulled into the drug/party scene.

According to an article in FORWARD, not only is she Jewish, but she has a British Jewish accent... Perhaps a British reader could confirm this... This said, she definitely has the "shikseh" look down to a tee... and is masterful not only at imitating the way afro-Americans sing, but also the fashion styles of American white trash...  This is one young lady who's proving to society that it is possible to be normal and fit in, even if you do happen to be Jewish...
