Of course there are exceptions but the basic theme behind baseball and football is fair play in which most Americans support. The great appeal of football is strategic playing and the crowd loves to follow all the plays while sitting in freezing cold weather. There is none of the idiotic theatrics seen in European and Israeli soccer.
It could be that very few countries play these,so our American brothers always become World Champions.
