American Airlines to Test Anti-Missile System

I just read

this article that says American Airlines plans to install anti-missile systems on their planes. Do you really think this is necessary?

There is only going to be three planes outfitted with this test system. All of them are being tested on planes that are not carrying paying customers. American is "not" in favor of these being installed on commercial airliners but only agreed to participate in the testing of this technology.

To answer your question - Yes I think it is important to develop this technology. In these days of terrorism and war this advanced technology could and will save innocent lives in the future.
