America ready for black or female president?

Do you think America will be ready for a black or female president first?  Do you think that America is ready now for either?

I think that America is absolutely ready for a black president, and Barak Obama would be a wonderful president, in my opinion.  I think that if Hilary stays strong and does what she has been doing all these years, America could elect her as well.  I wonder if 24 and President Palmer has helped America to open up its eyes to having a black president.  What do others think?

Yes. In my opinion Americais ready for a woman president and a black president. Hilary Clinton may be the first woman president. Barrack Obama is not in the same league, not because he is black, but because he is not qualified. Collin Powell is a black person that can be elected.

I think that when America is ready that a woman, black or white will be elected before a black man. Honestly I don't think the country is currently ready for either. I predict and history will back me that the person running with the most personal wealth will be the nominee and that is John Edwards, though he is not the frontrunner. He will get the nomination and then he will have to decide if he prefers Hillary or Barack for his VP. After this the country may be ready for a woman or black candidate. There are too many people hiding their true feelings pertaining to racial issues to really make an informed decision.

There isn't any relevence really.  A black man is as american as the people he is running against.  The same education, with the exception that he excelled in Harvard, he held a political office just as a majority of the candidates, and he pays the same taxes as everyone.  Someone please tell me the relevence of this question besides America is full of bigots except for the majority.  The are more people of the Mexican nationality than anyone, including british, and italian decents. There are slightly more women also.  Please stop belittling people other than whites, it's quite ignorant
