When will America be ready for a REAL Leader

There is another question on Yedda asking if America is ready for a leader of another race. That got me thinking on a sleepless night & has prompted this question.

Now before you all have 'Obbamagasms', I mean a real leader; not just someone touting 'change' (& little else)...without  taxing us into self destruction.

Unfortunately neither of our current candidates for the most important job in the world is a real leader.

Both men seem to feel that Americans want someone who will solve their problems...hell, Obama even said that in a speech a few months ago. The problem is they may be correct. We have become a nation of whiners and complainers & have let the government run FAR from their main function to get into such things as HD television & hearing on sports teams and athletes.

We have gotten to the point that we expect only the best for ourselves.

Now the government wants to get into the action and prevent banks from foreclosing on houses. No, I'm not Scrooge. I feel badly for those in financial trouble. It is THEIR responsibility to right their financial ship, not the government's. In MANY cases it was their own selfishness & lack of clear thought that got them into foreclosure in the first place. Hell a guy making 50k has no business buying a house that costs 300k solely based on "creative" financing terms.

IF there were a place where government should have injected itself it was when all those sales began happening.

THAT was when we needed a real Leader.

We pampered Americans had a choice for a real proven Leader & rejected Romney because he spoke the harsh reality that so many pampered Americans didn't...don't want to hear.

I don't know about you folks but I'm worried! Do NOT give me any responses about the Book of Revelations is unfolding. Yes, I believe in God & am a Christian but He didn't design Himself to solve all our problems...remember that little thing He gave us called Free Will. Lets keep this a thoughtful discussion & not get mired in religion.

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.

As an American who has been living in Israel for many years, I too am looking for a real American leader. The points that you bring up are very important, but I want a President that shows leadership in the international arena as well. By the way, I can vote in the US elections, but I do not do so, because I do not feel that it is right for someone to vote if they do not live in the country where they live.

I will be voting, but for a new government in Israel. Watch the news Wednesday, there is a good chance that the government will fall.

Wink  Headphones: you can listen to music you like or keep other noise out.

my most humble apologies to you. someone named paul asked that question about 4 days ago. it sounded too much alike and he uses the same smiley as you. yikes. i have often been told talking politics or religion can cause heightened emotions/reactions or what have you. if you mix them together...again yikes.
