Why does America have such great sums to do war ...

bluebird, you're right on! We can spend billions on unnecessary wars, but we can't spend a dime on medical care. Wars are meant to make money by the jerks who are heavily invested in munitions plants, planes, guns, tanks, etc.etc.etc. mainly OUR politicians. They could care less about the number of lives lost or destroyed by injury as long as they make their money, they don't care.

MEN like to play GAMES, war being one of them! They don't care about the loss in lives and money as long as THEY WIN their game and come out smelling like a rose.

War is all about politics, and nothing more.

Give him time, he's only been in the white house A half a year. It takes time. And you have to realize he has the congress and senate to fight against, and those are a lot of the jerks making money off the war. Of course they don't want it to end, and Obama is only one man having to fight against all of them. He's not God and he can't work miracles, so anything he propossed will take time. We just have to be patient and let things take their due course.

Back in September of 2001 (9/11) we were attacked as a country. I am very scared of War but we can not allow the terrorists to invade us at our own home. We were forced to fight and if we just up and pull out every troop now we will; without a doubt, be attacked again and it will be worse this time killing many more right here in USA.  I do agree that there is no reason to send boys and girls there that are mentally unstable. There should be a MAJOR test done on these men and women that are thrown out on the front lines. Some people have the knowledge that they are going to see things that they have to have VERY thick skin to handle and live with after the War is over and they come home. They allow people (Kids) that are very unaware of the affects that War can have on them. I believe USA should have a 25 years and older age limit. (Even at 25 some just are not meant for this) They need to psycologically test the people they accept in the Army. Some are so obviously unstable and without a doubt should not be put into a War. War is very serious and some are tempted by parents to apply and some think they will get a good college education and many turn out in AA or Drug Addicts. They need to regulate the people that apply very extensively and wean out the one with the slightest psycological unstablity. I know many that should not be in the army and they are. I dont understand how they even make it, it is like sending a kitten in a pit bull cage. There are reasons to fight but there are many problems with the way money is spent and people are chosen or just apply so they are accepted!!! It is crazy. Healthcare and War should have alot to do with eachother. Healthcare is rediculious here in MA. It is actually illegal if you do not have health insurance. Against the law!!! How is that? Massachusetts is rediculous. I hope this helped and does not get you mad.  LS
