Alternatives to MS Access

Aside from Staroffice/OpenOffice, are there any good alternatives to MS Access?

I like the rapid development of Access in terms of quickly reporting what's going on in a SQL DB. However, I really dislike the lack of robustness and "Microsoftie-ness" of Access. Are there any other vendors or development packages that give you a similar paradigm to Access?

Openoffice and Staroffice's Access clones don't seem to be much better, robust or innovative enough to merit switching too.
