For the moment use utility bill and receipts, or your last tax form, for temporary identification.  These will get you started at the local department of motor vehicles and your local bank for replacement identification.  Birth certificates are good for ID, but the bills and tax forms show current address and proof of residency.  Your voter registration card and social security card are also good ID.
