Alternative Software for Outlook

I'm looking for a good alternative software to manage my calender and tasks. I have been using Outlook for a long time. I am looking for something new which I can also manage a couple of profiles at once. If someone can post a link to where I can download it I would be very greatful.

How about Google Calendar? personally I find it very useful. That way you can manage your task from any computer that has connection to the Internet without being dependant on a local software.

Have you tried Outlook 2007?

Otherwise I stick to Essential PIM (http://www.essentialpim.com). It is focused mainly on the calendar/ tasks functions; it is lightweight, simple, has pro and free versions. I am not sure about the profiles, though. It keeps your calendar/ contacts, etc in a single, separate file. So, if two people are using it on the same computer, they just need to create and use separate files and that's all.
