Alternate-Day Diet

I don't know how effective the book called Alternate-Day Diet by James B. Johnson is towards sheding weight and having a healthier looking gene? I have tried different stuffs but am not sure whether the Alternate-Day Diet book will work for me.

The book is very nice. It was written by 2 authors name James B. Johnson and Ronald R. Laud. It has 2 customer reviews and a 4 star on amazon. Have not heard of alternate day diet - sounds identical to the Every Other Day Diet by Jon Benson.  The premise makes a lot of sense as the body will adapt to reduced calories and slow the metabolism.  Every other day does not establish a pattern for the body to adapt to.
