Alpha Lipoic Acid/Thyroid medication

My thyroid has been removed and I am now on Leyothyroxin 125 mg/day.

By taking Alpha Lipoic Acid, 200mg/day, will this have any affect on my thyroid medication and my well being.

Hump,  Your best bet is to ask you doctor.  I also take thyroid medication, and there are certain other drugs that I am not supposed to mix with it.  So please ask your doctor to be sure.

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

I too have a thyroid condition as well as Type 1 diabetes. Any question I have when it comes to changing my medications I will always ask my endocrinologist, as he knows what is best for me from an overall perspective.
