I have a problem with severe itching. No rash ...

I have a problem with severe itching. No rash until I've scratched for days, it also becomes blotchy and puffy on my facial area. Sometimes it affects the torso area, this time it's the lower legs and lower arms and hands and face. The allergist cannot find anything I'm allergic to. I've tried several medicines, both oral and topical, but none seem to be doing the trick this time. Iget regular physicals and bloodwork etc. Thanks for you help, Diane

Hi

Have u been to a homeopath or a herbalist?  they are normally very good at these sorts of things, especially if you have tried regular medicine.

This could be hives.  I get them when I am under severe stress.  They can also be brought on by exposure to the sun or just a very hot day.  Try rubbing olive oil on a portion of your skin to see if you get any relief.  You can also try an over the counter antihistimine.  The non-drowsey ones work well but sometimes you need to take two.  The package will say take one every 24 hours.  The last time I had hives the doctor told me if was okay to take two at a time.  But ask your doctor before increasing the dose.
