Alimony as cause for divorce

Do you think people would reconsider getting divorced if there were no alimony guaranteed? Would people stay married more?

Sure, in some cases it would make couples try harder to stay together. But I don't think it would matter to most couples. It's always difficult to divorce and it's usually financially difficult for most women after the divorce even if they do get alimony.
