Alcohol intervention resources for family held intervention

I have a family member with an alcohol addiction. We're looking for resources and information as to how we should approach an intervention. We are going to do this by ourselves without outside support as we don't have the funds. Any guidance would be helpful! Thank you!

Self- help is not the best option, especially in cases like alcohol addiction. Hence, I would definitely recommend you taking some professional help for alcohol intervention .  There are plenty of useful online resources that can help you on this. Refer Alcoholabuse.com to get started. Take care!

Actually first things first, your family member who has an addiction to alcohol should accept the fact that he has an addiction with alcohol and he/she will be willing to undergo changes in his/her lifestyle so he/she will recover. This is good for he/she has a vast support from your family and will help motivate himself/herself to be treated. I have heard many who have tried this same solution and about 50 percent of the patients have recovered. No matter what, motivate him to restrain from drinking so that it will not come to a time that he will create social problems, family problems and to his health problems.

If the intervention process you have implemented to him/her fails, you should visit this site http://www.nationalhotline.org . They have helped many and treated many to full recovery. Understand that this problem is very serious and should put to importance before it is too late.

Going for an intervention service is worth investing your money. Intervention needs full monitoring and guidance of the person who is into alcohol or drug addiction. You might want to try and visit:

Alcohol intervention is a good way to start treating alcohol addiction.  But seeking for pretreatment interventions would be appropriate to check how serious this problem he has.
