I was watching a movie on the Alamo the other day and it is surprising to me that after 180 plus years " Remember the Alamo" is a saying that most people remember and why? Yet ,after just 8 years some would have us try and erase the memory of 9 /11 from our minds. Almost to the point of villifing anyone who speaks those words or evokes the memory of that date and of what happened on it!
Less than 200 brave men died at the Alamo to bring, freedom from tyranny and liberty from suppression. Thousands died on 9/11, attacked by an enemy intent on destroying the liberty and freedom that those brave men fought and died for.
Col. William Travis had a quote that is as poignant and meaningful for today as it was then.
"This is not about land or money...but the one thing that no man should never be able to take from another man: the freedom to make his own choices about his life, where he'll live, how he'll live, how he'll raise his family.
Perhaps, President Obama needs to read up on his history a bit before he appoints another czar, or tries to pass more socialist legislation!
