Ahmadinejad's Visit to America

What do you think about the Iranian Presidential visit to the US?

Personally I think it's an absurd, letting someone who is constantly threatening America and its allies, to visit New York and directly addressing the American people in Universities and conventions.  chrome://dictionarytip/skin/book.png

It would be nothing new for the UN, that weird organization will allow almost any dictator or terrorist to use its podium and worse still the U.S. allows those invitees to enter the U.S. Just remember that Yassar Arafat spoke before the UN General Assembly wearing a pistol at his waist, which was against the UN Charter. What the U.S. should do is forbid Ahmanijad to leave the UN compound.

Wink LOVIN' LIFE!!!

I think for Bush to allow Ahmadinejad to visit the U.S. not to mention New York where the 9/11 memorial site will be, is so heart breaking!! It's almost like this guy wants to come here and mock us. Bush really needs to put his FOOT DOWN and let other countries know that we have a BACK BONE! I believe in peace but that is just pushing it alittle too far! We need to take care of our troops and bring them home before we start having a "tea party with other countries especially ones that we don't really trust. " Also, i want my son to come home before something else happens and I hope it doesn't but then he will be stuck there  or if Bush changes his mind and makes them stay for another year or two!! I don't think we can change their way of life or thinking so really i think we should just butt out and take care of our own issues with hunger, education and health!! But that's just ME! And i know everyone has a different point of view but i see it in all ways but of course i am very selfish because I think my Son has spent enough time over there and he needs a break!

So much of what he has said has been taken totally, and purposefully out of context.  Yes, I do think he should be here.  I think that diplomacy is an important aspect of civilized life.  I also do not think Iran has been any threat to the U.S.A.

i think this shows, more than anything else, how peace chances are blocked by the US. A-jad is not more of a dictator than the Saudi leader, for instance - Only that Saudi Arabia has great economical relationships with the Bush administration. The Saudi law is much more draconian than the Iranian one. Human rights are in a much worse situation there.
