Advice on Acting Techniques

I have recently begun to study acting again and am learning a technique referred to as core in action. It is beginning to make sense, but I would love to hear from other actors who can explain their technique in a concise, how-to way. I would love to really "get it" and be able to act truthfully.

I suggest you go to the source and study method acting, created by Lee Strassberg. All these various things like Core came out of method. It's not my preferred way of acting, but it seems to work well for many people. Many of the finest actors since the 1920s came from the method acting school.
