No, they haven't -- though they have had some nearly inexcusable problems with their new IM "upgrades." Read the site's technical support blogs -- paying members have had difficulties as well.
Even if you get it working, "free" members are limited to a single cam stream. And cam streams are subject to the control of the person doing the streaming (they can block you) and, of course, to a variety of connectivity issues. (No, I don't work there ... but I stumbled onto threads about AFF while researching online dating sites in general.)
