Why will my computer not display websites with ".swf" extentions?

First check and see if the Flash player is installed on your browser. there is a web page that checks that for you and displays the status of the Flash player:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/

If you dont have the player you can download it from this address:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW

cheers:)

If it's only flash video sites that aren't loading, you probably have a corrupt version of flash.

Using the add/remove programs or simply just reinstalling flash will typically not fix this.

If you google for "Adobe Flash Uninstaller" there is an uninstaller program for downloading on Adobe's web site.  Run this, then reinstall Flash from their web site.

They probably are not checking for versions.  Make sure you have the latest version by googling "flash player" and downloading the latest one.

Good web developers would have detected your version and told you that was the problem.  We just can't all be GOOD developers Innocent
