Administrator password on Mac OSX

Last weekend I bought a used Macintosh computer (power book G4) and I don't have the administrator password (I didn't even know I needed it until half an hour ago). I called the guy I bought the computer from but his voice mail says he's on a vacation until July 16th! What can I do now? Do I have to re-install the operating system?

Do you have the original Installation DVD?

if so, you don't have to wait fot the previous owner.

insert it to the dvd drive, and reboot. hold the "c" keystroke and it should boot from the dvd-drive.

select your language and under "utilities" you should find a "reset password" utility.

 I never used it, though.
