How to address a letter to Russia from the US?
Use Latin alphabet even in the person you're addressing can read the Cyrillic alphabet. Type rather than use cursive.
I would also write the return address in English. Chances are most American postmen would feel more comfortable with this.
I agree with Slava, but if you know someone who can write Cyrillic, I think that it can make things easier for a Russian postman. Writing RUSSIA at the bottom in English should be enough.
