Some people apply rubbing alcohol in order to dry out the oily skin. This will not help clear acne nor prevent breakouts. It can irritate the skin and cause breakouts.

Witch hazel works much better as an astringent and in treating acne.

Good luck and best wishes.

I wouldn't use it. It can dry up more than the acne. Use milder cleansers.

Drink plenty of water. Staying well hydrated can help your condition improve, because the "waste management" control system in our body requires a lot of water to do its job. Without enough ater, the body has difficulty removing some waste products efficiently.............. read more at

I used to use alcohol to clear my acne up and then when i went to see a dermatologist he said to stop using it because it really dries out the skin. If you can i would go see a dermatologist and see what he rocommends( i have used differen, and now i am on an Amoxacillin pill). Otherwise i would recommend to not touch your face, be careful of what make up you use, wash your face about twice daily, and drink plenty of water.

Some face washes i recommend are:

Clean and Clear Morning Burst, Seabreeze, Oxy, or Oxy pads, or Neutragena oil free acne wash.

HOPE THIS HELPS!
