If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Hi ron_shelf,

I am of the belief that if you are mixing a bunch of ingredients, albeit at home, you are essentially making an acne medicine. I believe that mixing ingredients is a science and anyone can do it. Therefore, it think making effective acne medications should be left to guys with with coats who work in labs. You and your skin would be much better of purchasing and acne product that is specifically formulated with a right blend of ingredients to produce the required results rather than "hope for the best approach".

despite my views, here are some skin care home remedies for acne.

 good luck.

If you need just a spot treatment, use a dab of toothpaste. The flouride dries up the pimple. Don't over use if you have sensitive skin. If you need something for your whole face that's inexpensive and trustworthy, buy a bottle of with hazel. It's a natural antiseptic.

Acne home remedy

Acne is an inflammatory disorder of the sebaceous (oil) glands, located under the skin. When for some reason glandular activity increases, for example puberty acne may appear, the glands secrete a lot more sebum then normal, if on its way to the surface, the sebum becomes trapped under the skin, the gland breaks, spilling sebum, this irritates the under layers of the skin and some pimple forms. This is how acne begins to affect several body parts, like the face, back, neck or chest.

Oil gets to the surface by traveling up the hair shaft. When the pores become clogged with excess oil and dead cells, the opening narrows; this shuts off oxygen to the pores and encourages bacterial growth, infection and inflammation. Blackheads arise when trapped oil darkens as it oxidizes (although many people mistakenly believe that this darkening of the pore is cause by dirt). When pores are repeatedly clogged, they enlarge and change the skin's texture.

Acne, although common among teenagers, can occur at any time in life, and can be cause by allergies, high sugar, or diets high in fat. In women Acne can be developed from the use of contraceptives which cause hormone changes. Some drugs such as, cortisone, or anti epileptics can cause acne as well. In severe cases, it scars and pits the skin.

TIP:
Some doctors prescribe a contraceptive pill, for girls suffering of acne, this pill contains a hormone called estrogen, the drug suppresses the hormonal actions, and produces some dangerous side effects, nausea; vomiting; headaches; weight gain; liver malfunctions. Home remedies for acne are better

Acne has become the most treated skin condition in the past few years, due to the mental anguish and the impact to the person's self esteem. People suffering of acne often seek help from a dermatologist who almost immediately prescribes antibiotics, which can cause terrible side effects, for example, Clindamycin can cause colitis which in turn causes among others, bloody stools and in some cases can be fatal. The only drug proven to work in 90% of cases is isotretinoin however it can cause severe side effects, such as, noses bleed, dry skin, headaches, joint and muscle pains, the most dangerous are birth defects.

The skin is the largest organ in the body, in charge of several jobs. One of them is to get rid of some toxins and waste through sweating. If the liver and kidneys can't handle the amount of toxins, then the skin takes over and begins discharging the extra waste, this can have an effect on the skin's health, which can cause acne and other disorders.

We recommend home remedies to heal acne quick.

Home remedies for acne on the back. Take orally and apply directly on the affected area Colloidal silver, it's used as a natural antibiotic.

Kitchen remedies for acne.Take garlic capsules, they boost the immune system and kill the bacteria found in acne.

To help the liver eliminate toxins from the blood, take Burdock root and dandelion which contain inulin. This helps to kill bacteria thus improving the skin.

Take the homeopathic remedies Kali bromatum, Sulphur, Antimonium tartaricum, Herpa sulphuris. These help to prevent the formation of pimples or quickly bring them to a head.

Use Lavender oil to apply directly on the acne area.

Hi, I have suffered acne, cystic kind, for my entire life.  Dermatologists have perscribed many antibiotics, birth control pills, perscription creams, Proactiv, etc.  I even spent over $500 a month for Accutane and blood tests.  These didn't work--although Accutane will work for a while.  This drug has severe side affects.  Take 300,000iu of vitamin a for about two weeks.  Your oil glands will cease their oil production.  Acne will stop.  After two weeks, take about half the amount.  If this doesn't work, you can also try vitamin b5.  There are many sites about b5.  I tried it.  It worked.  But it is expensive.  Vitamin A is very inexpensive.

By the way--your body is producing too much oil.  This is nothing that you can control by the type of soap, creams. lotions, food, etc.

Good luck

In my day job I write about Blood Pressure Treatment and treat those who suffer from blood pressure problems. Low blood pressure is a particular interest and I'm often asked about how to lower cholesterol levels. A healthy heart is becoming a huge focus for many of us nowadays. Improving your blood pressure control and thus the health of your heart and circulation system is really important. My most recent online "adventure" is to start a facility for people to ask me my opinion and to provide high quality health information by answering medical questions online.

I also have a special interest in the problem of feeling Tired All the Time and in those who suffer from chronic fatigue or lethargy. This seems to tie in also to skin care issues or skin treatment problems and suggestions. Tiredness and fatigue can lead to major problems for many individuals in modern society and the way that this can affect all areas of general health can be quite invasive in terms of daily life and coping skills.

My work with footballers and athletes leads to a focus on Painful Shoulder conditions and on the problems associated with frozen shoulder or whiplash injuryRotator cuff injury causes problems for many of my patients.

When not working I daydream about my next amazing european vacation trip  My favorite European cities include Paris and Barcelona and my next blog project will be to write about the best way to spend a night in Paris and how to find an apartment in Barcelona. I just love European travel in all its forms.
