DONT USE ANYTHING ON YOUR FACE BUT COLD WATER. every time you go to the bathroom splash your face with cold water.my mother in law "god rest her soul" taught me this over 30 years ago when i was a teen and it really works.for the next 3 to 4 weeks i would recommend that you dont put anything on your face but cold water.i promise you will see a BIG difference.  "probably in the first week"

i agree because sometimes putting all of this stuff on you rface makes it work. Poping those pimpes will help them go away. After aplashing that cold water you can lightly clean your face with a toner(i recomend PONDS cool, calm, and collected pore shriking gel toner. Its a nive gel and has cooling effects you can feel after that if you skin is dry you can use Neutrogenass Oil-free moisturizer! When i was a teen i didnt have lots of acne, one reason was because i drank lots of water(it just flushed everything out). You should also take your daily vitamins and they have special vitamins for good skin and hair

Hello

I had some acne as a teen, and here is what I learned:

(1) Take vitamin A supplements and eat plenty of foods rich in vitamin A and beta carotene such as carrots and cantaloupe.  Start with 25,000 IU daily. Vitamin A is the #1 nutrient for your skin, and it will drastically improve your complexion. However, it does gradually build up in the body over time, so gradually taper-off the dosage to 5000 IU daily.

(2) Vitamin E will reduce scarring caused by acne and help get rid of old scars.

(3) Take 15 - 30 mg of zinc daily with a meal. It kills acne bacteria.

(4) Sunlight clears acne.

(5) Drink a lot of water instead of colas.

(6) Excess salt in the diet causes acne. So, cut way down on salt.

(7) Avoid white, refined sugar products.

(8) Don't put any gunk on your face. It just clogs pores and makes acne worse.

(9) Keep your face clean. Splash it with water regularly.

(10) Eat a healthy diet, avoid fast food, and do cardio exercise.

i had really bad acne too and finally found a way just recently to clear almost all of it up. a good way to start is by boiling a pot of water  and when thats done sit down and throw a towel over your head and the pot together it kinda creates like a personal sauna for your face, you will sweat all the oil and dirt out of your face follow it by washing your face with a gentle cleanser and rinsing your face with cold water do this about once a week, avoid touching your face with your hands too. and about every hour or so wipe your face with a cleansing pad would suggest oxy daily cleansing pads, and ALWAYS wash your face before bed and after you wake up. also if you want to try it tomato paste works wonders on the skin if you put it on your face it sucks out the oil, closes your pores, and leaves your face looking flawless and soft, but if you over do it it can also dry your face out a little. sorry for such along message, if you decide to try this i hope it works for you :)

have u tried acutane? my friend did that and it cleared her acne quick..u should go to a dermatlogist.

I struggled with acne as well, I tried everything from diet, expensive facials, everything on the shelf, oral treatment, and even meditation to try to lower my stress level(ha ha)....but my doctor gave me Retin-A 0.05% and cleocin-T 1% gel. In the begining I thought that it was just like any other product seemed to not be working, but i stuck with it faithfully and my patience paid off...most who struggle with acne try certain products and simply give up on them before they can work their magic. My doctor told me that it is normal for your acne to stay the same if not worsen but with patience, my skin is smooth and the treatment even helped my scars seem less noticable.  Hang in there! I know how frusturating and humiliating it is to even look someone in the eye when they talk to you.  Good luck!

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
