I just recently moved into a new home. There is a 6 inch gap
between the bottom of the cabinet and the refrigerator. What can
I put on top to accessorize/decorate?
Put in a shelf or drawer or simply cover the gap with a 6 inch wide board.
Or you could add a row of the new square decorated storage boxes for things you don't use often. I have received several as gift boxes and use them on a library shelf and they look great. More storage never hurts! Have fun.

I don’t suggest putting anything on top of the fridge that could potentially come crashing down on anyone’s head when the door shuts. My idea is to go with some colored plastic or resin vases that give the illusion of glass but without the weight. You could also go with something a little more traditional and do an array of vintage tea tins with flowers or even baskets, which can give you extra storage. Another suggestion is if the fridge is tucked between a cabinet and a wall or two cabinets you can take a piece of fabric and a tension rod and run the rod from the wall to the cabinet to add a punch of color without making it look too cluttered. And of course the good ole’ standby could be some plants. I
