Do AC systems need anything done to winterize?

Is there anything special I need to do in winterizing our summer home in Washington as far as the AC system is concerned? I'm assuming that it can handle typical freezing cold and doesn't need anything special done with it? Basically we've just shut off all the water and blew air theough the sprinkler system to completely empty it of water as much as possible. But we are not leaving any heat on, so the AC unit will be subject to however cold things get this winter.
