85 S10 BRAKES

1985 s10 brake issues

1) when i step on the brakes engine runs rough could i have a booster leak? The main vac. Line to manifold has an inline check valve ( looks like an old style fuel filter) do they fail?

2) the brake master cyl. Has (2) reservoirs does the front feed the front and rear feed rear
